Common Purchase Questions
If I buy an ebook, how will I read it? Or get it onto my preferred reading device?
Ebooks are delivered instantly by link in your confirmation email (and as a backup, also by email from our delivery partner, Bookfunnel).
Once you purchase an ebook, you will get an email from help@bookfunnel.com with a link to download the ebook, or you can send the ebook directly to your favorite device. If the email hasn’t arrived in 10 minutes after purchase, please look for it in your Spam folder.
You can also find your ebooks in your Bookfunnel library at https://My.BookFunnel.com. Log into BookFunnel with the email you used to purchase/download your books.
If you need help with getting the ebook to your device, just email: help@bookfunnel.com or check https://getbookfunnel.com/
If I buy an audiobook, how will I listen to it? Or get it on my preferred listening device?
Audiobooks are delivered instantly by link in your confirmation email (and as a backup, also by email from our delivery partner, Bookfunnel).
Once you purchase an audiobook, you will get an email from help@bookfunnel.com with a link to download the audiobook, and instructions for how to download and listen in their app, or on another device.

How does it help to buy directly from you rather than one of the big retailers?
When you purchase my books directly from me, I get paid within days (sometimes even hours!) rather than in three months time. This provides a more steady stream of income which, in turn, allows me to focus my time and energy on writing the next book!
When you buy directly from me, you're supporting my business, and allowing me to share my books with you directly rather than through a middleman. I'm able to provide reading recommendations tailored specifically to you and your past purchases, as well as alert you to new releases in your preferred series. This includes news of preorders and new formats BEFORE they're announced anywhere else!
Why would I buy a paperback from you when I can get it with free shipping on another retailer?
Why, indeed!
I cannot, nor do I want, to compete with the big online retailers. When you purchase a physical copy of one of my books from me directly, you are supporting me as an independent author, as well as supporting my independent printer. Both of these are greatly appreciated!
The physical books I sell are of a superior quality from my independent printer, and they are shipped directly from the printer to you. I offer bundles that are not available anywhere else, and I also occasionally offer special editions which are also only available here.
How long will it take for my physical book to get to me?
The shipping speed will depend on which country you are located in, among other factors. My printer currently prints and ships from the UK and the US.
As an independent author working with an independent printer, I can't go as fast as the big online stores, but the quality of the books is excellent, and you're supporting a stronger creative eco-system.
Each book is printed individually and sent to you from either the US or the UK, depending on your country. Current printing and shipping times are as follows for standard delivery:
US distributor: 5-7 business days.
UK distributor: 4-7 business days.
Express delivery will vary according to shipping option selected at checkout.
Are you going to stop selling on the big online retailers?
Absolutely not!
I love the retailers, and want to keep my books on every platform available! I firmly believe in giving you a free choice of where to purchase and enjoy my books!

Do I have to read your books in a certain order?
Because I write in series', I do advise that each series is read in publication order. For a list of each series book order, please click here.
Why don't you have more audiobooks?
Audiobooks are extremely expensive to produce. Once the cost of a professional voice actor/narrator is accounted for, the price of the audiobooks for my Shadows of War series are over $3k per book. That's a lot of money!
As I can, I will be adding audiobooks to my collection, with the Shadows of War series being a priority. I know they're high in demand, and I'm doing what I can to make them happen!

What about digital narration for audiobooks?
Digital narration for audiobooks has come a long way in the past year, and it is definitely something that I'm looking at as a temporary solution to the audiobook dilemma.
In no way, shape, or form, would I ever consider digital narration as a total replacement for professional voice actors and narrators.
However, the plain truth is that proper audiobook production is prohibitively expensive. Digital narration does offer the option of getting my books into an audio format that makes it accessible for those who are visually impaired, as well as for those who struggle with other impairments that make it difficult for them to read.
Because of this, I'm exploring the possibilities of using digital narration as a stop-gap until I'm able to produce my backlist with a professional voice actor/narrator. If I decide to go this route, it will apply to my assassin-series' backlist ONLY.
